Since the release of Jane Austen’s Sewing Box in 2009, Jennifer is often asked to speak about Jane Austen’s women and their creative work with textiles. She has given guest lectures to a wide range of audiences, from small boutique societies to large groups at the craft shows.
As an author and museum curator with a passion for history and textiles, Jennifer provides a unique insight into Jane Austen’s beautiful world. She offers an entertaining journey through women’s work and the textiles of the Regency era.
Jennifer’s talks focus on the work of Jane Austen’s women, her characters, friends and family. The talks are illustrated with photographs, needlework and knitted pieces and references from Jane Austen’s novel.
